Rashford scores bizarre goal for Man Utd against Benfica
The 18-year-old, the Champions League’s youngest ever goalkeeper, was inconsolable after the final whistle with Manchester United winning 1-0 against Benfica.
And it was Svilar’s mistake from Marcus Rashford’s long-range free-kick as he carried the ball over his own goalline.
It means Benfica remained rooted to the bottom of their group while United maintained their 100% record to stay three points clear of Basel.
But Mourinho was full of praise for Svilar and expects him to become one of the best goalkeepers Europe in the near future.

“I knew how good he was and I told the players how good he was,” Mourinho said.
“We had a little bit of a strategy, especially on set-pieces, to try to make him uncomfortable so in corners we put lots of players close to him to make him less confident about coming out.
“In free-kicks we knew he risks a lot – only top keepers take risks like he does. The kid was unlucky.
