Real Madrid News: Manchester United star David De Gea harassing Sergio Ramos about move

MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper David De Gea is reportedly harassing Sergio Ramos about a move to Real Madrid.

David De Gea: It's a dream to play for Manchester United

Real Madrid were again linked with a move for Manchester United star De Gea in the summer, despite Keylor Navas’ impressive form.

However, having secured Champions League football for the current campaign, Jose Mourinho was reluctant to let his star asset leave Old Trafford.

Given his nationality - and the fact he was desperate to move to the Bernabeu two years ago - it is somewhat of an open secret that De Gea is destined to one day ply his trade back in Spain.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon claims the Manchester United No1 is harassing Real captain Ramos in order to ensure the move does indeed happen.

There are several reasons why De Gea is so eager to move.

Two years ago it was because of doubts about the Red Devils’ ability to compete for silverware on all fronts, with United stuck in a rut under David Moyes then Louis van Gaal.

It was also reported that the player’s pop star girlfriend, Edurne Garcia, was pushing him to move to boost her singing career.

Don Balon say, however, that De Gea’s pressurising of Ramos is hardly necessary.

The 26-year-old supposedly continues to spearhead a list of goalkeepers who club president Florentino Perez wants to replace Navas.

It is said Los Blancos have held an interest in Athletic Bilbao’s Kepa Arrizabalaga.

But the 23-year-old prodigy supposedly has no interest in leaving the San Mames Stadium.

Meanwhile, United defender Eric Bailly has labelled De Gea as the best goalkeeper in world football.

Real Madrid News: David De Gea has enlisted the help of Sergio Ramos

“It’s a good thing for us to have, in my opinion, the best defender, the best goalkeeper in the world,” he told United's official website.

“That gives us so much more confidence going into a match.

“David is very, very, very important for everything we do.

“The goalkeeper instills confidence not just in the defenders but in the whole team, so that’s why I think David is very important to the whole team.”
