SERGIO AGUERO’s blistering start to the Premier League season has not taken team-mate Kyle Walker by surprise.

The England full-back has revealed that the talismanic striker is just as prolific in training as he is on match days.

Aguero has notched six goals in as many games in the league this term, level on par with Chelsea’s Alvaro Morata and Manchester United’s Romelu Lukaku.

However, Walker, 27, did say that the Argentine keeps himself to himself away from the pitch - but his presence is still inspiring.

“On the field, there is no difference,” Walker said.

“Off the field, he is a bit quieter than I thought but his presence around the place gives off a positive presence and the vibe of winning.

“Around the dressing room, he helps the younger lads and we can lean on him as well. He gives us advice."

To play against him is a nightmare

City have hardly put a foot wrong this campaign as they top the table having dropped only two points and scored 21 goals along the way.

But if performances or results do begin to take a turn for the worse then Blues defender Walker outlined that Augero will be one of the first to speak up.

The right-back added: “He has a winning mentality and he wants the best of his players, as we all do for each other.

“Anything below par and he will be one of the first to say come on this isn’t right - let's pick it up.

Man City striker Sergio Aguero scores BEAUTIFUL goal

“Luckily he hasn't had to have a word with us so far and hopefully he doesn't for the rest of the season.

“To play against him is a nightmare. Facing him in numerous seasons, he always seemed to score against us.

“You know that if things aren’t going well, he is the kind of player who can produce that bit of magic and get us a goal up or back into the game.”
