Chelsea news: Eden Hazard not guaranteed return to starting line-up - Antonio Conte

ANTONIO CONTE has hinted Eden Hazard will have to work extremely hard to dislodge Pedro and Willian from Chelsea’s starting line-up.

Chelsea's Eden Hazard returns to the squad

Hazard made his first appearance of the season for Chelsea at the weekend, coming on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 win over Leicester.

And he was given a further 32 minutes to work on his match fitness in last night’s 6-0 rout of Qarabag.

Both Pedro and Willian have occupied the wings in Hazard’s absence through injury.

And with a crunch clash against Chelsea coming up on Sunday the Belgium international will be hoping he has shown enough to warrant a starting place.

Don't forget in the team there are two players, Pedro and Willian, who are playing very well

However Conte has asked for patience on Hazard’s return to full fitness and goes on to suggest Hazard won’t exactly walk into the team when he is available.

"It's too early to speak about this,” Conte said.

"We must have a bit of patience with him to give him the possibility to recover very well, to be totally fit. I think this is the right process for him.

"Don't forget in the team there are two players, Pedro and Willian, who are playing very well.

"We must be pleased to see him in the team.

"Now we must be calm and do the best for the player and the team, otherwise we risk a bad injury and delaying the situation."
