CHELSEA owner Roman Abramovich should sack Antonio Conte and bring in Gian Piero Ventura, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
Antonio Conte: Chelsea need more signings to be competitive
Conte, who is Abramovich’s 14th managerial appointment since taking over the club in 2003, guided Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season.
However, the Italian has apparently grown frustrated with the Chelsea hierarchy over their transfer business this summer.
The Chelsea boss had the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Fernando Llorente and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain high on his wishlist ahead of the new season.
But all three of his transfer targets rejected moves to the club in favour of joining their Premier League rivals.

Conte agreed to sign an improved two-year contract at Stamford Bridge in June, but he refused to extend his deal.

On Twitter, Palmeri said: “Quick Abramovich, fire Conte!”
“Chelsea I can assure you Ventura is a solid back-up.

“Now you can feel free to fire Conte. Trust me, you won’t regret it.”
Ventura was unable to help ease Italy’s 2018 World Cup qualification woes last night after Spain hammered them 3-0 at the Bernabeu.
A brace from Real Madrid star Isco and a fine finish from Chelsea new boy Alvaro Morata earned Julen Lopetegui’s side the win.
