Crystal Palace's move for Oumar Niasse from Everton is OFF

That is according to Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge, who has confirmed a deal has fallen through at the last minute.

Crystal Palace agreed a fee with Everton for the striker’s services on deadline day.

The Eagles had until 1am to get a deal over the line for the Senegal international.

But Bridge has revealed that his proposed move to Selhurst Park is now OFF.

On Twitter, Bridge said: “Confirmation: Palace will NOT be signing Oumar Niasse from Everton.”

boss Frank de Boer has got off to a difficult start to life in south London, with his new club losing all three of their opening Premier League games.

They have also failed to score a single goal, so he was after Niasse's services to add more firepower to his ranks.

But he will now return to Goodison Park after the deal fell through.

Niasse only signed for 18 months ago from Russian outfit Lokomotiv Moscow, but he was deemed surplus to requirements when Ronald Koeman took over from Roberto Martinez.

He has since enjoyed a loan spell at Hull where he scored five goals in 19 appearances.

However, it is not all doom and gloom at Palace, with Mamadou Sakho on the verge of joining the club from Liverpool in a £26m deal.
