Oliver Burke is on Crystal Palace's radar this summer

The 20 year-old flying Scottish winger is being linked with a move back to England with Crystal Palace keen to retain his services.

After a year abroad playing in Germany for RB Leipzig, it is thought that Burke would entertain a return to England having found it difficult to hold down a regular spot in the first team.

German newspaper ‘Kicker’ have reported that Palace have shown ‘concrete interest’ in the wide man but that Leipzig’s sporting director Ralf Ragnick has said “a loan is out of the question” as they spent £13million to acquire his services from Nottingham Forest last summer.

It is also claimed they want to make a profit meaning Palace would have to stump up to get their man.

Crystal Palace currently have Ivorian winger Wilfried Zaha out injured for a month after picking up a knock against Huddersfield on the opening weekend of the Premier League and would like to fill the void left by his latest injury.

Burke was highly regarded during his time at Nottingham Forest as he made 25 appearances for the club, scoring six goals.

His good form lead to him receiving a Scotland call up to the senior national team and making his debut as a substitute on the 29th March 2016 in a 1-0 win over Denmark.

Frank de Boer is trying to bolster his squad this summer

Palace have already brought in Dutch defenders Jairo Riedewald and Timothy Fosu-Mensah and midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek this summer as new manager Frank De Boer looks to bolster his squad by making Burke his fourth summer signing since arriving at Selhurst Park in June.

Palace lost their first game of the season to Huddersfield 3-0 at Selhurst Park, so they will look to improve on that by beating Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday, a ground they won on last season 2-1 thanks to two goals scored by ex Liverpool striker, Christian Benteke.
