Liverpool won the first leg in Germany 2-1 as Trent Alexander-Arnold and James Milner got two crucial away goals.

Klopp was pleased with his side's performance and believed his game plan of letting them play in the spaces as Hoffenheim were not dangerous was effective.

But Nagelsmann saw it differently with the German outfit enjoying 63 per cent possession and reacted angrily to Klopp's comments in his post-match press conference.

“No, I don’t agree [with Klopp],” said Nagelsmann.
