Jermaine Jenas: Chelsea players have told me bad things about Liverpool star Mohamed Salah

JERMAINE JENAS doesn’t believe Mohamed Salah is the signing that will earn Liverpool a top-four spot.

Salah scores INCREDIBLE goal for Liverpool

Liverpool have recruited a host of fresh talent in the summer transfer window but none more costly than Salah.

The Reds completed the £34.3million signing of the Roma winger in June to provide healthy competition to his attacking options.

This season won’t be Salah’s first taste of Premier League football though having spent time at Chelsea.

However, he managed just six Premier League starts for the Blues before he was sent out on loan to Fiorentina and then Roma.

And former Tottenham star Jenas has revealed some of his former Chelsea team-mates were not impressed with him during his time at Stamford Bridge.

Jermaine Jenas isn't convinced Mohamed Salah can take Liverpool to the top four

“He has obviously improved since and going on his pre-season performances he looks very sharp. Salah is definitely a good addition to the Liverpool squad, but not necessarily enough to bring them a top-four place.”

Salah will be hoping to put his Chelsea demons behind him when he takes to the field for Liverpool’s opening game of the season against Watford on Saturday (12.30pm).
