Paper round-up: Man Utd want Bale, Liverpool's £60m Van Dijk bid, Chelsea move for Aurier

Jose Mourinho admits he's willing to fight to sign Gareth Bale if he's left out of Real Madrid's starting XI for the UEFA Super Cup tonight.

"If he plays, it is the clearest signal that he is staying there," said Mourinho.

"If he is not in the club's plans and it is true that a player like Bale is at the departure gate, I will try to be there waiting for him at the other side."

While Liverpool are ready to revive their bid to sign Virgil van Dijk after the Dutchman released an explosive statement pleading for Southampton to let him leave the club this summer.

"I have been left frustrated by the club’s position that I am not for sale and am disappointed that enquiries from multiple top clubs have been consistently rebuffed," he said.

The Reds are favourites to land the 26-year-old for £60m, who is understood to prefer a move to Anfield rather than Chelsea.

And Antonio Conte has identified Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier as the man to bolster his depleted Chelsea squad, according to the Daily Star.

Conte is frustrated with the lack of signings at Stamford Bridge this summer and the PSG full-back is said to be top of his target list.
