Jose Mourinho makes joke about Antonio Conte’s hair transplant

JOSE MOURINHO has aimed a thinly-veiled dig at Antonio Conte by claiming he will ‘not lose his hair’ over criticism from the Chelsea boss.

Mourinho: I'm not going to lose my hair speaking about Conte

Mourinho and Conte have not seen eye-to-eye since the Italian boss arrived in England as Chelsea manager last summer.

The pair clashed on the touchline during Manchester United’s two trips to Stamford Bridge last season and been involved in a public war-of-words.

Conte reopened old wounds ahead of the new season by warning his Chelsea side to ‘avoid a Mourinho season’ after they won the title in May.

And after seeing his side beat Valerenga 3-0 in a friendly last night, Mourinho hit back with an unsubtle dig.

"I don't know, I could answer in many different ways," he said in his post-match press conference when asked about Conte’s comment.

Jose Mourinho could not help himself aim a dig at Antonio Conte

"I'm not going to lose my hair to speak about Antonio Conte."

Conte underwent a successful hair transplant operation in Canada before going into management in 2007.

The former Italy player and manager appears as a testimonial story on Hairloss Improvement Solutions clinic’s website.

And the fact that Mourinho ruffled his hair as he responded did not go unnoticed.

Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte aren't the best of friends...

Mourinho was clearly unimpressed with Conte’s comments referencing his sacking at Chelsea in December 2015, just seven months after winning his third Premier League title with the Blues.

Conte could not resist dropping Mourinho’s name when he spoke about Chelsea’s upcoming season on the club’s pre-season tour of China.

“We know it will be difficult next season,” Conte said.

“We want to try to avoid a Mourinho season. Two years ago the team ended the league in 10th place and we want to try to avoid this.”
