The former Manchester City boss says that he is ready to make a return to management and is the bookies' odds-on favourite to replace Slaven Bilic.

The Croat is facing the sack when he meets Hammers bosses to review a disappointing season for the club since they moved into the London Stadium.

He has failed to build on a successful first campaign at the club and is facing the sack despite having another season left to run on his contract.

Mancini has been spotted at the London Stadium this season running the rule over West Ham and is very much first choice to replace Bilic.

"My sabbatical year will end when I find a team. I hope there is an opportunity abroad because it is more fun, you learn a new culture,” he said.

During his four-year stint at City the Italian won the FA Cup in 2011 and the Premier League a year later.

He also won the Serie A three consecutive times with Inter Milan.
