GARY NEVILLE was impressed with Manchester United’s counter-attacking play during today’s 2-0 win at Burnley.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic: We have been having a good season

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s season-ending injury has meant Manchester United’s second-choice strikers must step up to the mark.

Marcus Rashford prove he can fill the 35-year-old’s boots with an extra-time winner against Anderlecht on Thursday.

And Jose Mourinho opted to give Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney the opportunity in the starting line-up against Burnley today.

Martial hadn’t scored in his last 10 appearances while Rooney had struck just twice in the league before kick-off.

But both got on the scoresheet today to ease the pain of losing United’s top scorer to injury.

And Neville, speaking after Martial had opened the scoring, praised the United attackers for their clinical finishing.

“Zlatan Ibrahimovic is injured and this is what you’re going to get without him,” Neville told Sky Sports.

“It was a counter-attack through the centre-forward Anthony Martial, last week it was Marcus Rashford.

“It was devastating – and far more like Manchester United have always played. Martial finishes it really well.”
