Antonio Conte’s £70m Chelsea disagreement could pave the way for Man United deal

CHELSEA are facing a £70million transfer dilemma this summer over which star striker they should prioritise in signing, according to reports.

Conte rumoured to replace Diego Costa with Alvaro Morata

Antonio Conte is keen to strengthen his front line with Diego Costa’s future unclear.

And according to The Sun, Chelsea are struggling to choose between pursuing Everton’s Romelu Lukaku or Real Madrid  forward Alvaro Morata.

The report claims Conte is prioritising a move for Morata having failed to land him last summer.

But technical director Michael Emenalo disagrees with the Italian boss and is keen to seal Lukaku’s return to the club he left in 2014.

Chelsea are keeping tabs on Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku

With Chelsea stalling on making a decision over which striker should be their No1 target, the Red Devils could steal a march on them by making the first move.

The Sun claim Chelsea could go after Lukaku and Morata this summer but with both strikers costing around £70m each Conte would need to offload some players to raise funds.

Michy Batshuayi, their £33m signing from Marseille last summer, would likely be the first player out the door if they decide to make an audacious swoop for both strikers.
