Manchester United reportedly scouted Jesper Karlsson on Monday evening

Karlsson is currently turning heads in the Swedish top flight with Falkenberg, despite his club's poor form.

Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet claim United sent a scout to watch the 18-year-old striker in action on Monday night in the 2-0 defeat to Hammarby.

And Falkenberg sporting director Nilsson has claimed he would be willing to sell the teenager for the right price.

"The fact is that the player wants [to leave] and we may agree with one club," Nilsson said.

Hilarious Manchester United player mocks teammates

"We see that it is good for Jesper's development so we will probably let him go.

"It's possible that they [Manchester United] have expressed interest - just like a number of other major clubs.

"But I do not think anything right now. First and foremost, there has been no kind of formal offer from any club to us."

Karlsson has scored four goals and provided two assists for Falkenberg this season who currently sit bottom of the Allsvenskan.
