Abou Diaby's comeback has been put on hold reveals Arsene Wenger
ARSENE WENGER has revealed Abou Diaby's comeback for Arsenal has been put on hold.
The 27-year-old midfielder picked up an injury after he played 45 minutes for the reserves in their 2-1 defeat against Chelsea earlier this week.
Diaby's Gunners career has been halted by a succession of injuries and he hasn't played for the first team since tearing his anterior cruciate ligament against Swansea last year.
Though Wenger had been hopeful to have Diaby, who resumed full training last week, back in the fold soon, he has confirmed he will miss the Newcastle game.
"It is difficult to say when Abou [Diaby] will be back," Wenger said.

"He had a groin problem and he will not be available for Monday. It is a minor setback."
Meanwhile, Wenger has stated Jack Wilshere is making good progress in his recovery from injury.
He added: "He's progressing well. He's still on track to be involved in the last couple of games."
Arsenal are currently fourth in the table, one point ahead of Everton.
