Manchester United and Chelsea are reportedly interested in a transfer swoop for Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini after his impressive form in Serie A this season.
The Italy international has shone since his move to Roma this summer and looks a hugely promising talent, with Fox Sports Italy reporting that his club are growing increasingly fearful they could lose him.
The report adds that Pellegrini, 21, has a £22million release clause in his contract and is also being looked at by Paris Saint-Germain.

United could certainly do with additions in midfield with AS reporting that Ander Herrera is edging closer to agreeing a surprise move to Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea, meanwhile, have looked short in midfield this term due to injuries to N’Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Danny Drinkwater at various points as their form has dipped since last year.
Pellegrini looks ready to make the step up to a bigger club and could get his chance in the Premier League if Roma can’t sort out his very tempting buy-out clause.
£22m won’t be a lot to clubs like United and Chelsea, who have been among the biggest spenders in Europe in the transfer market in recent years.
