Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini has been included in the squad to face Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League on Thursday night, and it’s fair to say that supporters aren’t impressed by it.
United need a point to progress to the knockout stages of the competition, and so Jose Mourinho is expected to select a strong line-up to ensure that there are no slip-ups.
However, the inclusion of Fellaini hasn’t gone down well with the majority of supporters, with the Belgian international coming under fire after Sunday’s 1-1 draw at Everton.
Having conceded a penalty just minutes after coming off the bench and ultimately costing his side two points, there has been an angry backlash aimed at the tenacious midfielder, and he has certainly made a few more enemies.
Nevertheless, with Michael Carrick rested, Morgan Schneiderlin left out and Bastian Schweinsteiger ineligible, Mourinho hasn’t been left with the best of options and so Fellaini may well even start in the Ukraine which only lead to further criticism and anger.
United have constantly stumbled so far this season, but a win on Thursday could be the confidence boost that the squad needs to pick up results and start building some momentum.
Manchester United squad to face Zorya: De Gea, Romero, Johnstone; Fosu-Mensah, Jones, Bailly, Rojo, Blind, Young; Fellaini, Herrera, Pogba, Lingard, Mata, Mkhitaryan; Martial, Rashford, Rooney, Ibrahimovic.
Please do us all a favour and leave our club in January @Fellaini ! Sincerely, every single @ManUtd fan across the ?! #MUFC

Fellaini ahead of Schneiderlin in the squad to travel to Ukraine remains a mystery to me.

Schneiderlin treatment is an odd one. I actually think he's a very good player. Can't be worse than Fellaini, surely? #MUFC
