Manchester United prepared to offload star midfielder for as little as £2 million

Manchester United are prepared to cut their losses in an attempted to offload Bastian Schweinsteiger this summer according to the German outlet Bild.

The report state that the Red Devils are willing to allow the Germany international to leave for as little as €2 million.

Schweinsteiger future at United looks to be over after the newly appointed manager Jose Mourinho relegated him to train with the reserve side earlier this month.

The Portuguese tactician does not have a place for Schweinsteiger in his team with Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Morgan Schneiderlin ahead of him in the pecking order.

The 32-year-old had an underwhelming first season at United after joining from Bayern Munich last summer. Per-the-source, United want to wipe Schweinsteiger’s £190,000-a-week salary off the wage bill.

The former Bayern Munich man who retired from international football this year, has two years remaining on his contract with United.
