The French international is said to be increasingly concerned over his place in the France squad for the 2016 European Championships, and will want to be playing more first-team football next season after a frustrating time at the Parc des Princes.

Cabaye has previously starred in the Premier League, establishing himself as a top class playmaker during his time with Newcastle United, and it may now be that he will have offers from English clubs when the transfer window re-opens this summer.

According to talkSPORT, the 29-year-old’s desire to quit the Ligue 1 giants could alert both Arsenal and Liverpool, who are in need of new additions in the middle of the park.

Arsene Wenger’s side could do with an alternative to Mikel Arteta, while the Reds need to replace the departing Steven Gerrard.
