Arsenal player ratings against Liverpool:

GK) Wojciech Szczesny – 6.5

Couldn’t do much for either goal, and was solid and commanding in the air.

RB) Calum Chambers – 5.5

Struggled all evening with Raheem Sterling and  Lazar Markovic, looked out of his depth at times.

CB) Mathieu Debuchy – 7.0

Another excellent performance at centre-back from the Frenchman, who was expected to move back to right-back. Capped the performance with a goal.

CB) Per Mertesacker – 5.5

Needed to be more of a leader at the back in the first half when the team were struggling, really wasn’t at his best.

LB) Kieran Gibbs – 6.5

A solid performance at left-back, needed to be disciplined as Liverpool were causing all sorts of problems down the flanks.
