The Brazilian playmaker is hot property at the moment, with a number of top European clubs after his signature. His current club are confident that they can keep hold of him until the summer however, claiming the player is happy to be where he is at the moment.

Talking about Firmino and teammate Kevin Volland, sporting director Alexander Rose said, “until the end of the season neither of them will move because if you watch them play you understand that have not been forced to remain in Hoffenheim, but they are happy to play with this team.”

Firmino has scored 34 times in 118 appearances for the club, a solid return for a player who doesn’t play up front.

If he moves next summer, the newly capped Brazilian international is likely to cost somewhere in the region of £20m. If teams are desperate for his signature in January then the fee would be significantly higher.
