Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho speaks ahead of his team’s game with Arsenal…

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has played down the possibility of his current side emulating the Arsenal crop of 2003-04, who won the Premier League title without losing a game.

After an extremely impressive start to their campaign, the Blues sit top of the league table, with five wins and a draw from their six matches so far.

However, Mourinho, whose team host the Gunners at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, believes that the ultimate success of his opposite number Arsene Wenger was a ‘once in a lifetime achievement’ that will never be matched.

Chelsea, who beat Arsenal 6-0 last time the two teams met in March, will perhaps be aware that Preston North End are the only other team to have matched Arsenal’s achievement, and that was way back in the 1880s.

“It’s something that happened once in a lifetime,” Mourinho said. “I don’t see, in modern football with the competitiveness of this Premier League, one team being champion without a defeat. That will stay in the history as the second and the last time.(That is) my opinion, but we don’t know.”
