Manchester United legends Paul Scholes and Rio Ferdinand have mocked the fans of rivals Manchester City, saying not enough people came out to support the Sky Blues in their Champions League tie against AS Roma on Tuesday night.

Ferdinand took to Twitter to make his point.

Scholes made his comments while reporting on the game and felt that the City fans weren’t doing enough to back their team on big European nights.
”The crowd need to get behind this team they need to create a special European atmosphere,” Scholes told ITV.
”I was lucky enough to play at Old Trafford and we always talked about the atmosphere on a Tuesday night, the special atmosphere you create, and the crowd is rocking when you go out for a warm up.”
City’s huge match against the Serie A runners-up was watched by just 37,509 supporters, nearly 10,000 down on the Etihad’s capacity.
