Legendary forward and role model Diego Maradona had some finishing advice for Harry Kane after watching Spurs’ drubbing of Liverpool at Wembley on Sunday. You’ll be surprised to learn that it was not ‘consider using your hands more’.

Former Manchester United winger Ryan Giggs has declared his interest in both the Leicester and Everton jobs, which has inspired me in turn to declare an interest in winning the Lottery and moving to the Maldives.

An awarding body has decided to give some recognition to Cristiano Ronaldo for a change- he was named the Best FIFA Player Award last night in the men’s category, presumably reflecting his legendary prowess on the EA Sports console game. Lieke Martens claimed the gong in the women’s category.
