It’s officially official: Wilfried Bony has joined Swansea City on a permanent transfer from Manchester City. The Swans paid a £12 million fee to complete the transfer, and Bony has signed a three-year contract with the Welsh club.

Bony joined the Blues from Swansea in 2015 for £28 million but was never able to replicate the form he should for the Swans. Bony spent last season on loan at Stoke City and scored just two goals in 11 appearances for the Potters. Bony accepted an offer to play for Hellas Verona in Italy on loan, but Swansea eventually agreed a fee with Manchester City and the deal went through easily on Deadline Day.
Bony won’t be missed by City fans, but we wish him the best. Good luck, Wilfried!
