Manchester City will soon make a £60 million offer to sign Arsenal forward Alexis Sánchez according to Matt Law of the Telegraph, perhaps the most respected City journalist around.

Also according to Law’s report, City will offer Alexis a salary package worth £400,000 a week in wages and image rights, and if they can convince Arsene Wenger to sell Sánchez to a Premier League rival this summer, things will surely move on quickly and the deal will be completed.

Wenger is adamant Alexis won’t be sold under any circumstance, and unless Alexis puts his manager under giant pressure and/or hands in a transfer request, it’s hard to imagine Arsenal selling their top player just two weeks before the end of the transfer window.

We’ve seen crazier things happening this summer, though, so maybe Alexis is coming after all.
