Manchester City ready to make strong summer push for Juventus defender - Report

After an unsuccessful attempt to sign Leonardo Bonucci last summer, Manchester City are preparing to pounce on the Italian in the next transfer window, according to reports from The Telegraph.

Pep Guardiola has made his admiration for the 29-year-old clear and will undoubtedly take any chance to bring him to the Etihad.

The clear-cut liabilities within the City squad this season lie mainly in defense. With disappointing performances all over the back line all season, as well as Vincent Kompany’s constant fitness problems, many preventable goals have been leaked, causing points to be dropped in several matches.

“We should have won that” has become a frequent saying that sums up the campaign. This needs to be put to an end as soon as possible, hopefully with several defensive signings.
