Manchester City's match against Swansea City in the EFL Cup third round was going according to plan, with the Sky Blues winning and controlling the match for 90 minutes, with starters being rested and young players showing their worth. But there was one small incident, and it's a cause for concern.
Captain Vincent Kompany was forced to leave the game in the final minute with what looked like a thigh injury, and he walked off straight to the locker room, a worrying sign after a four-month layoff for the skipper because of a groin problem.
Pep Guardiola spoke to the press after the final whistle, and he provided an update on Kompany's condition:
"The doctors are speaking with him and seeing what's up. Hopefully it will not be a big problem, We're going to wait for the results from the doctors and I still don't have that or the opinion of my staff."

Kompany's teammate Gael Clichy said in his own post-match interview that he believes it's not another injury, but just a sign of Kompany being tired after playing 92 minutes in his season debut. Hopefully that's the case and the Cap won't take long to return to the team.
