Nikita Parris has agreed a new deal with Women's Super League One club Manchester City, who have also signed Sweden international Julia Spetsmark.

England winger Parris helped City win the Women's FA Cup in May, after 2016's WSL 1 and Continental Cup double.

The former Everton player, 23, has five goals in 16 games for England.

Spetsmark, 28, joins City from Damallsvenskan club KIF Örebro DFF until the end of 2017-18 season, her first club move outside Sweden.

"The Champions League is the next step. We've won all of the domestic trophies. It's time to impose ourselves on Europe and win it," Parris told City's website.external-link

"Personally, I'd like to retain all three trophies we already have - they're ours to lose - and win the Champions League trophy, as I haven't won it before."

Spetsmark said: "I've always wanted to play in England, since I was a little kid. I've been waiting for the chance to play here so I'm really excited about that.

"I haven't left Sweden before but I feel ready. I have played in the Champions League and that was amazing."

City meet Norwegian side LSK Kvinner in the first leg of their Women's Champions League last-16 tie on Thursday, before the return leg in Manchester on 16 November.
