Wijnaldum: Fans "begging" me to score against Sunderland
Newcastle striker Georginio Wijnaldum says he has been made fully aware of the importance of this weekend's north-east derby against Sunderland.
Sunderland have won the last five Tyne-Wear derbies and Sunday's game holds even more significance due to both clubs' struggles this season.
The Netherlands striker was bought for £14.5m from PSV Eindhoven, becoming the club's third most expensive signing after Michael Owen and Alan Shearer.
He showed his class in Newcastle's last Premier League fixture, scoring four goals in a home win against Norwich.
