Brighton have confirmed Izzy Brown has returned to parent club Chelsea after suffering a torn anterior cruciate knee ligament injury.
|We are absolutely thrilled for Lewis, he fully deserves this call up,
said Brighton manager Chris Hughton in a club statement.
He's improved with every season, and on the back of an impressive first season in the Premier League he continues to progress,
said Brighton manager Chris Hughton. I'm delighted he has now been given recognition at international level.
All I can speak about is what Glenn gives us,
Hughton said. Gareth [Southgate] has done a wonderful job for England and will make the decisions, but for somebody at this stage of the season to have scored five goals in the Premier League for this club is a big achievement.
I am delighted for both Lewis and Shane,
said manager Chris Hughton. They have been terrific players for the club, helping us win promotion and establish ourselves in the Premier League last season.
